3 days in Santorini
Whitewashed villages on the rim of a sunken volcano. A 3-day plan.
Santorini's cliff-top villages look down into a flooded caldera. Beyond the sunset crowds, there are black-sand beaches, volcanic wines and a Bronze Age city frozen in ash.
Day by day
Day 1: The caldera rim
Hike from Fira to Oia along the cliffs, then watch sunset from Imerovigli or Oia and dine at Ammoudi Bay.
Day 2: On the water
Sail the caldera to the volcano and hot springs, and spend the evening in Fira.
Day 3: The south
Visit Akrotiri and Red Beach, taste wine near Megalochori and watch sunset from Pyrgos.

Short on time, or staying longer?
With less time, keep the first days and skip the day trip. With more, add a slower day for a neighbourhood from our best areas to stay, or choose more from the full list of things to do.
